Last week, on 25 October 2017 the Horizon 2020 project ERICENA launched its first regional hub in Chengdu, Sichuan province, hosted by EUPIC, the EU Project Innovation Centre. On 27 October 2017 also the ENRICH-China Beijing centre was launched, hosted by the EU SME Centre.
ENRICH-China, the European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs in China, will as of 2018 provide tailor-made services to European Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) actors and business organisations with an in-depth knowledge of the Chinese context and with effective support to achieve a dynamic presence in China.
Representatives from the European Commission DG Research and Innovation, the Delegation of the European Union to China, the Chengdu municipal government, the Chengdu Hi-Tech Development Zone, the China Science and Technology Exchange Centre (CSTEC), the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China and many more STI organisations and stakeholders from Europe and China were present and actively involved in the ENRICH-China inaugural ceremonies.
The ENRICH-China launches were complemented by a matchmaking tour in Chengdu, Beijing and Qingdao between 24 and 31 October 2017 within the agenda of the 12th EU-China Business & Technology Cooperation Fair. (http://www.eu-china.org.cn/about.html )
